Presentation

An Interactive One Hour Group Information Session

PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO, IT WILL GIVE YOU SOME INSIGHT INTO THE REASONS FOR FRAGILE SHELTERS BOOK 1 AND WHY WE ARE WRITING THIS SERIES.

One of the driving factors for us, as retired tradesmen/contractors and, in Cam’s case, a columnist on sustainable buildings for some twenty (20) years, was our desire to reach out to the public.  We developed this PowerPoint presentation in hopes it gives you a small insight into the history of homes, the aging factor and how this affects homes in today’s climate crisis.  Then we touch on some of the cost, reasonable effective methods and upgrades that can be done to make your residence more “climate proof.”

This is a popular “Interactive Training Presentation” and as such we ask you to fill out our  application form.  We will be in touch with you to arrange a date to come to your service club, municipal meeting, trade association, church or town hall gathering.

The actual presentation takes just over an hour and we always make ourselves available for questions afterwards.

"Cam brought his extensive knowledge of sustainable construction and emergency preparedness to our Home Retrofits Workshop this fall. His presentation combined historical content with hands-on demonstrations of flood and fire protection tools. For a subject that can often feel daunting, Cam managed to keep the audience informed and even laughing along the way"

Cam Allen of Fragile Shelters made a very informative presentation to the West Lorne Kiwanis and Visitors. We were grateful for the work put into the presentation and, of course, the excellent book."
